YWT Internship Program 2019

YWT provides the "unpaid" internship program for university graduates and students the opportunity to gain direct practical experience through training in one of the departments of the organization.
 
The internship program is offered three times a year and aims to provide trainees with a clear framework to enhance their educational experience and give them practical experience in the work of civil society organizations.

The interns will be supervised by an experienced staff member who will monitor the progress of the interns to ensure effective contribution and to overcome any obstacles that may be encountered.
 
Internship concept:
Is to provide a medium-term work experience related to the field of study of trainees or career aspirations for them under the supervision of qualified staff.
 

Duration of training: Three months
 
Objectives of the internship program:

  1. Strengthen the work of YWT in the youth community and create members who believe in the vision of the organization after completing their training.
  2. Attract and develop a range of future talents from young people.
  3. Provide intren with the opportunity to participate in the areas of YWT activities in order to gain practical experience.
  4. Provide a practical learning experience for trainees.
  5. Building the professional skills of the trainees and providing them with the necessary experience for the labour market.
  6. Community participation through future workforce training.

Application Requirements:

  1. The residence of the trainee in the secretariat of the capital (Sana'a).
  2. The intern is between 18-30 years old
  3. To be registered at a university or the equivalent of a higher education institution or to be a university graduate; or a high school graduate who plans to attend university.
  4. Commitment to the duration of the training and the number of working hours agreed upon with the human resources and the direct supervisor, not less than 15 hours per week.
  5. The Intern has the qualifications and skills appropriate to the requirements of the administration to which he will join.
  6. Has the spirit of initiative, cooperation and seriousness in learning to acquire new skills.
  7. The intern consent to participate in the program without any financial or functional remuneration.

The applicant should have the following qualifications and skills:
 

  1. English language proficiency.
  2. Computer skills and Office programs.
  3. Ability to organize time and priorities.
  4. Excellent communication skills, ability to analyze and overcome difficulties.
  5. Attention to communication and marketing technology. (Intern in the Media)
  6. He has a background on ways to manage social networking pages. (Intern in Media)
  7. Ability to use design programs (Photoshop - Illustrator - Indesign). (Intern in Media)
  8. Skill in drafting articles. (Intern in Media)
